Frequently Asked Questions
What is the spa cancellation policy?
In order to provide the highest quality service to each guest, treatments will be charged in full if not canceled at least 24 hours prior. Sessions are guaranteed to a credit card or room folio. Changes must occur at minimum 24 hours beforehand to avoid full charges for missed appointments. Arriving 15 minutes early ensures you receive your complete service.
Where should I park?
The spa is located at 175 N. Jackson Street within the Rusty Parrot Lodge. Feel free to park on the street or use valet parking. Enter via the main hotel lobby.
How early should I arrive for my spa appointment?
Arriving at least 15 minutes early will allow you to change into a robe, have a cup of tea and receive the full length of your scheduled treatment. Late arrivals will conclude at the originally scheduled time to honor subsequent clients’ reservations.
What should I expect upon arrival?
Check in and change into a robe in the locker room. You’ll have the opportunity to explain your concerns and have the session tailored to your needs including pressure, areas of focus, music, and temperature. You will remain fully draped with flannel sheets except for the area that is currently being addressed. After your treatment, you are welcome to shower or allow the oils to continue nourishing your skin.
Can I purchase a gift certificate for the spa?
Yes! Create a custom gift card with a few clicks, or choose from a curated selection of products. Choose a value amount and let the recipient select their own treatments.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. A robe is provided upon arrival, and you are welcome to shower after your treatment. During the treatment you will disrobe to your comfort level and will be draped except for the area that is being addressed.
Can I use the hot tub during my spa appointment?
Yes! Feel free to soak in the outdoor hot tub before or after your session. Robes, towels, slippers, and lockers are all provided.
Can minors receive spa treatments?
Body Sage Spa requires clients to be 18+ years of age for all body treatments and 16+ years of age for skin care treatments.
How do you handle harassment?
The safety of our practitioners is paramount. Sessions are strictly therapeutic. Inappropriate comments or touching will result in immediate session termination and will eliminate future spa access possibilities.

“The seed for the Body Sage was planted when I left a corporate career and bought a one-way ticket to Bali. Over the next eighteen months, I crewed on a yacht through the Indonesian archipelago, studied yoga in India and meditation in Nepal and fell in love with traditional Thai massage. While practicing massage in San Francisco, I followed the familiar plot-line of so many locals. Six weeks into my one-week vacation, I returned to collect my furniture and call Jackson home.
Like you, I love all that Jackson Hole has to offer. The treatments we created arose from the desire to recover quickly and enjoy more time in the national parks and the forests that brought us here. Like you, I value personal and planetary health and have prioritized natural and organic treatments from day one.
The spa has lived many lives in the hotel. It started in 1991 in a storage closet where I offered massage to locals and hotel guests. By 1995, the practice had outgrown me and the Body Sage Spa was born with the intention to honor your body as your sage, your source of wisdom and font of healing. It grew from one to several hotel rooms and then into its own building in 2013.
