When the snow starts to fall in late autumn, the Tetons change to a different world. The mantle of snow on the peaks and ski runs brings a fresh set of activities. Skiing in Jackson Hole is recognized worldwide and on the list of almost everyone that loves the sport. For years, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort cultivated the image of the hard core ski resort that required you to be an expert skier. At this point very few understand or remember why. The Mountain can test you with runs like Corbets Couloir, Crags, and Cirque. Dope Cave and Mushroom Chute offer their own commentary on those that ski them.
For every run that is a Black Diamond there is another with a Blue or Green. Names like Werner, Easy Does It, Moran, and Gros Ventre (better ask us how to pronounce this one if you don’t want to be labeled a green horn) welcome those that ski once a year.
