Escape Into Winter Package

Rediscover the joys of winter at the Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa in Jackson, Wyoming, as we transform the season from dreary to divine with an out-of the-ordinary three-, four- or five-night “Escape into Winter” getaway package.

On the first day, enjoy a half-day tour, accompanied by a Wildlife Expeditions biologist, to view magnificent wildlife in winter habitat, followed by lunch at the Rising Sage Café overlooking the National Elk Refuge. Stroll through the National Museum of Wildlife Art before taking a group sleigh ride among the elk on the National Elk Refuge.

The next day, experience a half-day snowmobile tour in the Gros Ventre Mountain area, guided by Goosewing Ranch staff. Explore the vast wilderness abutting the ranch to spot elk, deer, moose, coyote, bighorn sheep and bald eagles while riding groomed trails in the protected winter range that is only open to snowmobiles during the winter months.

On the four-night package, in addition to the above, take a half-day dogsled tour provided by Continental Divide Dogsled Adventures, including lunch. Transportation to and from the tour, located in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, a 48-mile journey through Grand Teton National Park, is included.

On the five-night package, in addition to the above, journey for a full day by snowcoach to the Old Faithful geyser basin in Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy the scenery in comfort, chauffeured by an experienced, knowledgeable guide, making several stops along the way for wildlife viewing and photography. Breakfast, restaurant lunch and refreshments are included. (Available until March 8, 2009 due to Yellowstone road closings).

Our Escape into Winter package includes three, four, or five nights lodging with a full chef-prepared breakfast each morning, a half-day wildlife tour for two, lunch at the Rising Sage Café, one group sleigh ride on the National Elk Refuge, admission to the National Museum of Wildlife Art and a half-day guided snowmobile tour for two. Dinner for two at the Four Diamond Wild Sage restaurant, including tax and gratuity (excluding alcoholic beverages), is also included as part of your stay. The four-night package also includes a half-day dogsled tour with lunch and transportation. The five-night package also includes a full-day snowcoach tour into Yellowstone National Park with lunch and transportation.
