Other Winter Activities
In addition to alpine skiing, there are over 37 miles of trails for cross country or skate skiers. You don't have to go to Alaska to experience the adventure of the Iditarod. Teams that compete in that race make their home in Jackson Hole and we can arrange for you to take a full or half day trip with these amazing animals. You even get to drive the team. Snowshoeing gets away from the crowds and into a winter world that few are fortunate enough to ever see.
Yellowstone in winter is a wonder. Access is by snowmobile or snow coach on a limited basis. Old Faithful erupting in a snowstorm or a herd of buffalo grazing along the edge of the road will etch an image in your mind that you will never forget.
Bob sleighs were used to feed cattle for decades in Jackson Hole. Today they will take you through the middle of a herd of thousands of elk in the National Elk Refuge.
Winter or summer you can experience wildlife like nowhere else. The Greater Yellowstone Eco-system is often called the Serengeti of North America. In the spring, our predator package takes you to northern edge of Yellowstone to view wolves and grizzles in the wild, with their young. Experienced wildlife biologists from the Teton Science School Wildlife Expeditions guide you on this safari experience.
