Fly Fishing

A Blue Ribbon stream and a chance for the big one just up ahead in that riffle.  The wamth of the sun on your back.  The quiet sound of the River.  Does it get any better?

Jackson Hole and the surrounding area have some of the finest fly fishing in North America.  The Snake River flows south through the heart of Jackson Hole.  Six major tributaries; the Salt, Greys, Hoback, and Gros Ventre Rivers, as well as Buffalo Fork and Pacific Creek flow into the Snake before it reaches Palisades Reservoir.  Below Palisades is the South Fork.

The Yellowstone River also holds a native species of cutthroat within its banks. The park provides easy access to much of its waters as well as prominent stretches of the Firehole, Madison and Lamar Rivers. Day trips to the Henry’s Fork and Green River provide other options when the conditions are right.
