The park was established in 1929 and boasts thirteen peaks above 12,000 feet, including Grand Teton itself at just less than 14,000 feet. Elk, moose, deer, bison, pronghorns, coyotes, mountain lions, and black and grizzly bears all roam the park freely, and can sometimes be seen in the early morning hours or at dusk. With almost 300 species of birds and 16 species of fish, our mountain forests and meadows will amaze anyone with a love for wildlife.

But even if you’re the type that believes nature should be viewed and not touched, you can enjoy the park by taking one of several looping drives, including the popular Jenny Lake Loop. All of the routes include prominent pull-offs from which to click a few pictures.
