National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming

The Museum features an extensive collection of over 2,000 pieces of art portraying wildlife from 2000 B.C. through the present. American art from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries is particularly prevalent, recording European exploration of the American West. Although focused primarily on American and European sculpture and painting, the museum’s permanent collection is expanding to include acquisitions from Africa and New Zealand.

museumGroup tours are offered by the museum and make a great addition to Grand Teton and Yellowstone tours. An early morning breakfast, wildlife talk, and gallery walk are included.
“Tapas Tuesday Nights” is another specialty of the National Museum of Wildlife Art. Enjoy fine food, fine people, and fine art every Tuesday evening between 5:30 and 9:00. Reservations recommended.
